The delegation of Uzbekistan is actively promoting the country in the international tourism market

The delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, led by the head of the Tourism Committee, Abdulaziz Akkulov, successfully participated in the summit organized by UN Tourism as part of the largest international travel exhibition, ITB Berlin, in Germany. During their visit, the delegation held a series of productive meetings with foreign partners aimed at increasing the influx of foreign tourists and promoting the unique tourist resources of the country.

One of the significant outcomes was the meeting with Azada Huseynova, Deputy Chairman of the State Agency for Tourism of Azerbaijan. Agreements were reached to expand tourism cooperation, prepare new memoranda, and organize special trips for media representatives and opinion leaders from both countries. The possibilities of creating compatible tourism products aimed at the European market and the Southeast Asian region were discussed.

Separately, representatives of the Republic of Uzbekistan held negotiations with major players in the tourism market, such as Edison Chen, Vice President of the international company Trip.com Group. The participants discussed options for effective digital marketing of Uzbekistan's tourism potential, including special pages on the company's platforms and conducting large-scale advertising campaigns in the Southeast Asian markets.

An important meeting was also held with the leadership of the International Congress Cities Association (ICCA), where the parties agreed to jointly develop the business tourism sector in Uzbekistan. One of the projects is the transformation of the historic city of Khiva into an international business conference center, which will increase the number of foreign visitors.

A significant event was the meeting between the delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan and representatives of the Swiss Hotel Institute (SHL), known for its professional educational programs. A project was discussed for cooperation with the UN Tourism Academy in Samarkand, aimed at training highly qualified personnel for the hotel industry.
