A new step towards the tourism future: Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia strengthen partnership
Dear travelers, we continue to follow the events that make Uzbekistan more and more attractive to tourists from all over the world. And here is another important news: on the sidelines of the 59th meeting of the Asian Development Bank, which is held every year, Chairman of the Tourism Committee of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Akkulov met with a delegation from Saudi Arabia, headed by Muhammad Abunayan, founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Acwa, as well as Chairman of Vision Invest.
The negotiations continued at a high level. Earlier, the delegation was received by President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
What does this mean for tourists?
We are talking about a large-scale cooperation that will directly affect the comfort and quality of holidays in Uzbekistan. The parties discussed:
• Creation of modern tourist clusters — entire districts and zones where everything will be thought out for travelers: from hotels to entertainment.
• Integration of energy solutions — this means that new facilities will be equipped to the highest standards, with concern for the environment and reliability.
• Development of transport and logistics — roads, access roads to attractions, convenient routes between cities.
• The application of modern approaches to urban planning in the travel sector — beautiful, functional and safe spaces for recreation.
What has already been decided?
Specific results have been obtained:
• An agreement has been reached to establish a joint group.
• A plan of further actions will be developed.
• Projects have been identified for investments that will become priorities.
In addition, Mr. Abunayan invited the Uzbek delegation to the investment forum in Riyadh, which will be held in October this year, which confirms the high interest of Saudi partners in Uzbekistan.
Why should you go to Uzbekistan now?
Because the country is rapidly changing for the better. The hospitality, well-being and openness of Uzbekistan already create ideal conditions for travel. And thanks to new partnerships with Saudi Arabia, the tourist infrastructure will become even more modern, convenient and interesting in the coming years.
You will still have time to see Uzbekistan in the process of this amazing transformation — and come back here again when new clusters and routes are opened.
Don't wait for "later" — the ancient cities of the Silk Road, the sun of the Fergana Valley and the hospitality sung in legends are waiting for you right now.
