Uzbekistan adopts Swiss standards in tourism: your vacation will become even more comfortable!

Dear travelers, we have great news for those who appreciate a high level of service and thoughtful holidays. Uzbekistan is taking another step towards welcoming guests at the most modern level — now the best Swiss practices are being introduced in the field of tourism education.

What does this mean for you? And the fact that very soon guides, hotel staff, tour operators and restaurant staff in Uzbekistan will be trained according to international standards, taking into account the strictest requirements of Swiss hospitality.

The issues of introducing Swiss experience in the field of tourism education are considered

How it all started

On May 8, Deputy Chairman of the Tourism Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan S. Bobokalonov met with Simone Strasburger, head of the Swiss project “Support for Vocational Education Reforms in Uzbekistan” (VET4UZ). The results of the first stage (2022-2025) and plans for the next period (2026-2029) were discussed.

International standards have already been developed for 14 areas of professional education in tourism. And ahead is the implementation of seven more programs. This means that future specialists will learn directly on the job, combining theory with real practice, as they do in the best hotels in Zurich and Geneva.

What awaits tourists in the coming years?

• Retraining of 150 teachers — those who will pass on knowledge to a new generation of tourism workers.

• Training of 10 employees of the Tourism Committee in Switzerland — they will bring home the most advanced management techniques.

• Master classes for 100 entrepreneurs - owners of hotels, cafes and travel companies will learn how to make the service perfect.

• Participation of 12 international experts in the creation of training programs.

Why should you go to Uzbekistan now?

Because even today, without Swiss diplomas, you are greeted there with genuine sincerity, given a generous feast, and shown the architectural treasures of Samarkand, Bukhara, and Khiva. And very soon, a carefully calibrated European service culture will be added to this traditional hospitality.

Imagine: you arrive at the hotel, and the staff takes care of you with the same precision as in Switzerland, but at the same time you eat real Uzbek plov to the sounds of karnai and drink green tea in the shade of a plane tree. Isn't this the perfect vacation?

Uzbekistan is getting even closer to world standards, but it retains its unique soul. Have time to see it like this, and you will come back here again and again.
